"Treasures of the Internet" is  envisioned as a collaborative effort.  The realization of its goals will depend on your desire to identify with and share the principles and goals of "Treasures of the Internet" and your  willingness to share your work  and ideas  -- photos, audio & audio visuals and other multimedia formats, articles, works of art and literature, well-though "point of view (POV)" and other forms of expressions.

"Treasures of the Internet" is a serious effort, that must meet the standards of peer-reviewed journals, other scholarly publications and internet endeavors that could withstand the test of times.

We aspire towards this for a number of reasons.  To cite one example, many people of the world, or even educational and scientific institutions of many countries could not afford the cost of scientific journals, texbooks and other forms of multi-media.

Wikipedia, is a good example, where the internet may serve as an alternative source of information. Unfortunately, because of the inherent mode of the creation and editing of the contents of Wikipedia, the articles therein cannot be considered as "reliable" sources of information.
