Please do not attempt to upload your photos, except in the upload sites indicated below. You need to register, be approved and then once approved, you may login in order to be able to upload images. Before you upload your photos and other forms of multimedia, please be sure that you  read all articles in the "Contributions and Terms of Agreement (TOA) " section. Proceeding further beyond this page is a tacit legal and ethical binding agreement that you abide by the terms specified in the aforementioned section.

Photo submission policies summary.  Briefly the photos you submit must be your original work, or if you are assisting other contributors, include the name of the original contributors.  The photos submitted must not have any photomarks and must be at least 1020px. More details are included in the Copyright policy and Terms of Agreement.

Screen image optimization. An image uses a lot of disk space, and will load much slower when it has a large byte size.  All images that get into all the galleries must undergo "screen-image optimization" to produce an image that will look good in the internet, but not necessarily for printing (see note below).  The "screen-image optimization" process will add new steps, but is worth the extra effort.

All image contributions are "optimized" in common sites, as indicated below.

Screen-image optimization sites.  There are two main sites where images will be optimized:

A. Treasures of the Internet @NET

  • @NET 1000
This is the default upload site for images that will be included in specific sites, as indicated below.
  • @NET 1600
Upload some of your images here only upon instruction or invitation by a Curator or Community Leader.

B. Treasures of the Internet @OPT

  • @OPT 1000
This is the default upload site for images that will be included in specific sites, as indicated below.
  • @OPT 1600
Upload some of your images here only upon instruction or invitation by a Curator or Community Leader.

The screen image optimization, in the aforementioned upload sites, will work only if the images are larger than 1020px for the @NET 1000 and @OPT 1000; and, 1650px for the @NET 1600 and @OPT 1600. Note that not all images larger than 1650px should be uploaded in  the @NET 1600 and @OPT 1600.  The latter upload sites are used only for specific images, as specified herein.

Where to upload your images?  The site you use to upload your photos will depend on the eventual gallery where your photos will be included, as specified below.

Representative images. If you have quite a number of photos that can be conveniently grouped into specific sets, please select a number for each set of photos. Next, consult with the Curator or Community Leader designated for the galleries where your photos are likely to be include.  Once approved, please  upload the selected photos in either the @NET 1600 or the @OPT 1600 upload sites.

The selected representative images, after optimization, will be used to introduced your photos in the broader galleries, e.g., Central Visayas and Visayas for images from cities of and province of Cebu. They will be used also in articles or blogs to introduce your  work.

Default sizes of optimized images.
Only the "optimized" image will be stored as the largest size in the gallery databases.  There will be two default sizes -- 1000 px and 1600 px -- as indicated above and will serve different purposes.  Unless you have been informed by a Curator or a Community Leader, please upload your images only in either the @NET 1000 or the@OPT 1000 -- depending on the final location where your photo contribution will be included.
