Likas - Philippines has always been an integral part of Treasures of the internet since the inception, mainly because the Philippines is the native country of your host before migrating to the United States. Likas - Philippines is a vision of the Philippines and Filipino people, distilled from the collective perspectives of Filipinos. The underlying principles and goals of its creation are outlined in "Why Likas-Philippines".

"One World Galleries" is one of the projects of the "One World" initiative.  The  goals and aspirations of the "One World" initiative are outlined in a letter , of the same title "One World", by your host  to a contributor in the Online  Museum group at Flickr.

 A vision for a different world. "One World Galleries" is more than just another photo and multimedia sharing site, like Flickr , You Tube , and similar commercial sites that abound in the internet.

The dream that was outlined in  the "original Treasures of the Internet" -- as embodied in the principles and goals -- was envisioned long before the internet ever existed.  The actual structure of its foundations as an internet site was first built in the later days of 1998.  The  origin of its statement of principles and goals was outlined in the "Why this page?" series written on 4 January 1999.
