Nucleic Acid Base:SFAF
one of the components that make up the genetic
material; in combination with sugar and phosphate groups they form nucleotides,
the "building blocks" of DNA and RNA. There are two types of
bases, purines (adenine and guanine) and pyrmidines (cytosine, thymine
and uracil). Bases are complementary and can bind with their counterpart
in a process known as base-pairing.
