  • Seborrheic Dermatitis JAMA
    A chronic inflammatory disease of the skin of unknown etiology (ie, cause or origin), characterized by moderate erythema; dry, moist, or greasy scaling; and yellow crusted patches on various areas, including the midparts of the face, ears, supraorbital regions (above the orbit of the eye), umbilicus (the navel), genitalia, and especially the scalp.   • Seborrhea (Seborrheic Dermatitis): SFAF
    an overproduction of sebum (oil) by the sebaceous glands leading to an itchy red rash often accompanied by encrusted patches. Seborrhea typically occurs on the skin of the scalp, face, ears, chest or genitals. Seborrheic dermatitis is believed to be associated with a Pityrosporum fungus.
