    Antibodies produced by a hybridoma or antibody-producing cell source for a specific antigen. Monoclonal antibodies are useful as a tool for identifying specific protein molecules. See also Antibodies; Antigen; Hybridoma.
  • Monoclonal Antibodies (MAb): SFAF
    antibodies derived (often by genetic engineering) from a single cell or its clones. MAB are specifically directed against a particular antigen (e.g., anti-cytomegalovirus antibodies) and are used as tools to detect and identify specific proteins.
