Hepatitis B (HBV, Serum Hepatitis):SFAF
a viral liver disease that
may be acute or chronic, and can be life-threatening. Symptoms include
fever, headache, muscle and joint pain, malaise, nausea and jaundice.
Some individuals are chronic asymptomatic carriers; chronic hepatitis
B may result in liver cirrhosis and/or cancer. The hepatitis B virus (HBV)
can be transmitted by sexual contact, shared needles or contaminated blood
products. Interferon-alpha is used as a treatment; a 3-dose anti-HBV vaccine
