  • Hemophilia: SFAF
    a hereditary disease that prevents normal blood clotting, leading to easy bruising and potentially severe hemorrhage. Hemophilia A (classic) is due to a deficiency of the coagulation factor VIII. Many hemophiliacs became infected with HIV from transfusions of blood products the widespread use of the HIV antibody test to screen blood.
