  • asymptomatic JAMA
    Without symptoms. Usually used in the HIV/AIDS literature to describe a person who has a positive reaction to one of several tests for HIV antibodies but who shows no clinical symptoms of the disease.
  • Asymptomatic: SFAF
    not feeling or showing outward signs of infection despite the presence of a disease-causing agent. Individuals typically remain asymptomatic 5 or more years after infection with HIV.
